Best Fishing Spots in the World

In my opinion, fishing is the best way to travel and learn about the best fishing destinations in the world while visiting different continents, which is why I recommend it. Here are some of the best fishing spots on the planet, located on six different continents, that should be on every angler’s bucket list.

Check out our list of the Best Fishing Spots in the World

North America and South America spots

North America appears to have a monopoly on the best fishing spots on the planet, at least in terms of quantity. In the United States alone, you can visit top fishing spots that will almost certainly result in you bringing home trophy catches.

Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts

Martha’s Vineyard, a small island south of Cape Cod in Massachusetts, is not only known as an affluent summer colony, but it has also gained widespread popularity as a great fishing destination for fully grown Bluefish, Bonito, False Albacore, and Striped Bass for more than seven decades. That is, of course, in addition to other medium-sized fish.

Ocracoke Island, North Carolina

The unincorporated town of Ocracoke Island in North Carolina is home to some of the most difficult-to-find fish in the world, including the Red Drum. The Red Drum is known for putting up a significant fight, so catching one is a significant accomplishment. It’s best to use a 12-foot fishing rod for this type of fishing. There are a plethora of tackle shops that can supply you with whatever you require. You will also need to obtain a North Carolina Coastal Recreational Fishing License before you can begin your spectacular fishing adventure.

Hatteras, North Carolina

Hatteras Island is also located in North Carolina, and it provides anglers with some excellent opportunities to catch Mahi Mahi and Yellowfin Tuna. If you want to mix in some shopping and beach time, Hatteras has those options as well. It is one of the most popular fishing spots on the Atlantic Coast during the winter months of November and December, and is ideal for winter fishing between November and December.

Betty Lake, Colorado

It doesn’t matter how hilly the terrain is around Betty Lake, Colorado, because anglers can still catch their fair share of cutthroat trout there. This shallow lake is located on a bench above the timberline, above the treeline. All of the shorelines provide excellent fishing opportunities. Despite the fact that it is not permitted to build campfires, you are welcome to set up camp here.

Montauk, New York

False Albacore, Striped Bass, and Bluefish are among the species that can be caught in the fall migratory fish season off the coast of Montauk, New York. During the summer months, Montauk remains the state’s busiest commercial harbor, with boats of all shapes and sizes moored there. As you approach Montauk Harbor, you will notice that it has been dubbed the “Fishing Capital of the World” with great pride.

It also serves as the home port for some of the best sport fishing on the East Coast, particularly in the summer. To the delight of offshore anglers, there are plentiful catches of tuna, shark, Mahi Mahi, and marlin to be had. Fluke, flounder, bluefish, blackfish, porgies, and striped bass are some of the prize fish that inshore fishermen can expect to catch for their efforts.

Jerome Lake, Alaska

Jerome Lake in Alaska was most likely named Fairman Lake for the simple reason that rainbow trout anglers have a relatively good chance of catching them. Jerome Lake, a reservoir near Gilpatrick’s, Alaska, is only 27.2 miles away from Bear Creek and has a capacity of 20,000 acres. Whether you are spinning or baitcasting, your chances of inciting a fish strike are good..

Fishing in Wyoming’s Fontenelle Creek, which is known for its wild and remote setting, is ideal for anglers who enjoy a sense of adventure. Anglers who come to the site to fish for Glides and Trout between June and September are in luck. Due to the fact that it is a lesser-known fishing destination for the time being, you will not have to deal with large crowds of people while fishing.
